HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY ORDER?
Generally, stand-alone parts will ship within 1 business day of receiving orders. Most pre-configured and Configure-to-Order server orders will take approximately 2-7 business days. Depending on your selected shipping speed, your order may take up to 5-10 business days, domestically, to reach your location. For international shipping times, please contact us for an accurate time to reach your location.
WHAT IS THE CONDITION OF THE ITEM I WILL RECEIVE?
All items sold by TechMikeNY are thoroughly tested to ensure their functionality, and are refurbished using the highest industry standards. Few items are new and would be specifically labeled as such.
DO YOU SHIP OUTSIDE OF THE UNITED STATES?
Yes, we ship outside of the United States.
Please note that certain countries have restrictions on certain items being shipped, so please contact us, before ordering to ensure that we will be able to process your order.
If you have your carrier account that you would like us to use, please contact us.
I WANT TO CANCEL AN ORDER I PLACED
All orders that have not yet been shipped may be cancelled at any time for a refund by contacting us.
All orders that have left the warehouse must be shipped back before receiving a refund.
Please note that orders shipped back must be returned in unopened condition. Otherwise, a restocking fee may apply on the item.
I PLACED AN ORDER, BUT I WANT TO MAKE A CHANGE. IS IT TOO LATE?
Contact us to let us know the change you wish to make. We can usually accommodate changes as long as the order has not shipped out.
HOW CAN I OBTAIN TRACKING FOR MY ORDER?
Once an order is fulfilled and ships out from our warehouse, you will receive an automated message with tracking. If you do not receive anything, please check your spam folder, or you can contact us, and we will provide an update.
WHAT PAYMENT METHODS ARE ACCEPTED?
We currently accept all major credit cards, PayPal, Amazon Pay, and wire transfer.
DO YOU OFFER ANY REWARDS, OR POINTS FOR REPEAT CUSTOMERS?

MY SERVER POWERS ON, BUT NOTHING IS DISPLAYED
Please confirm that all cables are securely connected, and that all RAM and CPUs are properly seated. If you still get no display, please contact us at (718) 635-9880, or contact us.
WILL MY DRIVES BE CONFIGURED IN A RAID?
Default RAID setups are outlined below. Please let us know if you’d like a specific configuration instead.
Servers with 1 drive will have a RAID 0.
Servers with 2 drives will have a RAID 1 between the 2 drives.
Server with more than 2 drives will have a RAID 1 between the first 2 drives and a RAID 0 or a RAID 5 with the remaining drives as allowed by the number of drives.
I WANT TO BUY RAM, BUT HOW CAN I BE SURE THAT IT WILL BE COMPATIBLE WITH MY EXISTING SYSTEM?
Contact us with your system information and let us know if you are planning to add RAM. We will then share a link with a compatible module from our stock.

ONE OF THE RAM MODULES SEEMS TO BE DEFECTIVE AS THE SERVER IS NOT DETECTING IT. CAN I RETURN?
Any defective RAM modules can be returned or exchanged; However, first please reseat any RAM modules as they may have become loose during shipping.
If you purchased RAM from us as a standalone to install in your existing server, please confirm the installation configuration:
• Make sure that each processor has the same quantity, capacity, and speed of RAM modules. Ensure the RAM is installed in sequential order by the numbers and letters on the system board for each RAM slot.
• If you have two processors installed, then RAM must be installed evenly for each CPU RAM bank (Bank A for CPU 1 and Bank B for CPU 2). If you only have one CPU, fill up the slots for CPU one.
For two processors, use the following guide:
• A1 and B1 should be the first two slots with RAM. They are the outermost memory slots.
• A2 and B2 are the 4th slots from each of the outside edges of the system board. Continue with A3, B3, A4, B4, A5, B5.
ARE THERE ANY CABLE OR PERIPHERALS I SHOULD CONSIDER WITH MY ORDER THAT MAY NOT BE INCLUDED?
All servers from our pre-built models to our configure-to-order builds ship out fully functional, tested, and ready for deployment. There is no assembly or additional cables needed on your end.
If you are buying a standalone component, such as a flexbay kit, optical drive, or another part, send us a note with the order number requesting what additional cable you might need and will try to accommodate from our stock, if we can.
HOW CAN I BE SURE IF A STANDALONE COMPONENT IS COMPATIBLE WITH A SERVER OR COMPUTER I ALREADY HAVE?
We list the compatibility on several of our standalone products on our website. If you are unsure, feel free to contact us and we can walk you through the compatibility of the part you are looking to buy.
CAN I MIX AN SSD AND HDD DRIVE IN THE SAME SERVER?
Generally speaking, yes. Please note that you cannot mix SSD and HDD drives in the same RAID virtual disk. To learn more about RAID and mixing SSDs and HDDs, you can read our blog post here.
MY SERVER DISPLAYS A BATTERY ERROR
The RAID controller that came with your server has a RAID battery that allows RAID levels 5 and 6 to work properly. During transit this battery will sometimes discharge. Leaving the server running for 24-48 hours is enough time for the battery level to rise. If after this period your server still displays this error, please contact us for further assistance.
ARE YOU ABLE TO PREINSTALL ANY SOFTWARE ON MY SERVER ORDER?
Yes, we can ship out servers preinstalled with several software applications: Microsoft Server, Microsoft Server SQL, ESXi, Ubuntu, Hyper-V, to name a few.

A SERVER I AM INTERESTED IN COMES WITH IDRAC EXPRESS. IS IT POSSIBLE TO UPGRADE THIS TO IDRAC ENTERPRISE?
Yes. Contact us with a link to the server you are looking to buy, and we can provide a quote on the upgrade cost. All of our servers on our Configure-to-Order have the option to upgrade to iDRAC Enterprise.
DOES THIS SERVER SUPPORT VMWARE ESXI?
Please consult the VMware Compatibility Guide to determine if the server you are looking for will run the ESXi version you are planning to run.
I RECEIVED MY SERVER WITH WINDOWS EVALUATION, WHY DOES MY SERVER SHUT DOWN EVERY HOUR?
If you have Windows server evaluation installed, you must activate it to allow for a 180 days of evaluation, after which you must buy a Windows server license to continue to use it.
DO I NEED TO UPDATE THE FIRMWARE ON THE SERVER?
At TechMikeNY we make sure to update the firmware on all servers, provided by the OEM, to the latest. Updating firmware when you receive the server will not be required.
Please note: OEMs do release new versions of firmware over time, so you may want to check with us, or the OEM Support website for more recent firmware updates.
MY WINDOWS SERVER PRODUCT KEY IS NOT WORKING
The server has been installed with Windows Evaluation Edition, this edition does not accept product keys for the standard edition. The following command can be used to change the edition and activate with the key: "dism /online /Set-Edition:ServerStandard /AcceptEula /ProductKey:XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX" (Replace XXXXX with your product key.)
HOW CAN I INSTALL AN OS THROUGH A FLASH DRIVE ONTO MY SERVER?
Insert the flash drive, then power on the server. During the bootup, Press F11 for the one-time boot menu. When the menu appears, arrow down to C: Drive and arrow down again, you'll see the USB flash drive you inserted.
The menu configurations are slightly different between HP and Dell servers. Feel free to contact us if you need any additional help.
WOULD I BE ABLE TO GET A CUSTOM CONFIGURATION?
If you cannot find a configuration already built on our site, you may use our Configure-to-Order page to configure your own specs.
DO THE CONFIGURE-TO-ORDER SERVERS COME FULLY ASSEMBLED?
Yes. If you build a server through our configuration page, that server will be built and tested, and if the server has a RAID controller, we configure the drives in the RAID configuration utility. If the server has a trial operating system, then we install the operating system. There will be no assembly of parts required on your end.
CAN I PURCHASE ADDITIONAL DRIVES FOR THE SERVER I AM BUYING?
Yes, you may purchase any additional drives you would like for your server, which can be found here. Your drives will be added to the server; if you'd like a certain RAID configured on the drives, just leave a note and we will gladly set that up for you.

DO YOU HAVE ANY DATA ON HP AND DELL SERVERS' ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS SUCH AS NOISE LEVEL, HEAT OUTPUT, AND ENERGY CONSUMPTION?

WHAT IS THE CONDITION OF THE HARD DRIVES?
The majority of hard drives we sell are refurbished. We run a smart test on all drives, and if the drives are installed in a server with a RAID controller, we configure the drives in the RAID firmware.
Our RMA/Return Rate on our hard drives is extremely low – 1% or below.
DO YOUR MONITORS COME WITH STANDS? WHAT ABOUT POWER CABLES?
Power cables are included with all of monitors, and many of our monitors come with stands but some do not – please view the specs of the listing. Video cables are not included.
