The HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 Plus is a 2U, Gen10 Plus (Gen10+), dual-socket, Intel-based rack server – HPE’s go-to 2U platform for everything from containers to cloud to big data. The motherboard supports 2x Intel 3rd Generation Xeon Scalable processors (Ice Lake) with a maximum TDP of 270W per CPU and up to 40x cores per CPU – 80x cores total for the system. The system board supports 16x DIMMs per processor for a total of 32x DIMMs and up to 8TB of DDR4 memory running at speeds up to 3200 MT/s, with support for Intel Optane Persistent Memory 200 Series. Depending on the chassis and configuration, this beast can weigh up to 75Lbs fully configured.

Model overview
The DL380 Gen10 Plus takes 2x hot-plug HPE Flex Slot power supplies, with 800W, 1000W and 1,600W options. Storage is where this chassis really flexes: 8x SFF, 24x SFF, 8x LFF and 12x LFF front configurations, plus optional mid-tray and rear drive cages that take it to as many as 38x SFF drives or 20x LFF drives. Max internal storage can reach roughly 398TB with SFF SAS drives, and NVMe, SAS and SATA can all be mixed depending on the drive cages you pick.
There is no embedded network connection on the DL380 Gen10 Plus – networking comes from your choice of an OCP 3.0 adapter or a stand-up PCIe card, with NICs supported up to 200GbE. Across the primary, secondary and tertiary risers, the server could take up to 8x PCIe 4.0 (Gen 4) slots, so if you’re thinking about GPUs, you’re covered.
